As a venue for political events, Brasília is a cosmopolitan city, with around 90 embassies. Not surprisingly, the city stands out as an important business tourism destination.
The plan of the central city has been likened to a bird, a bow and arrow, or an airplane and has been designed by the Brazilian architect Lúcio Costa.
The climate in Brasilia is tropical. The dry season lasts from late March to early October, though there is commonly some rain also in late May. The temperature has during that period an average of maximum 28°C. Then start the humid season, where the temperature can decrease down to 18°C.
